SKK - German Steel Merger
This was CRA's steel strategy to move from mining into downstream steel making. We had worked on the acquisition of Kaiser Steel in the United States to acquire its steel plant in Fontana in California over a long period. We also worked in Europe on a proposed $6 billion merger between Hamersley Iron, Krupp Steel and Kloechner. We continued to work on this project after we established our firm. Overall it involved travel to Europe around ten times on the negotiations for this project.
