Project Lawyers - Melbourne or Beijing
Chambers & Company, in conjunction with Chadbourne & Parke, is offering unique opportunities to talented and motivated lawyers who wish to be based in Australia and/or China and work internationally on major projects. The senior positions will be attractive to lawyers with at least six years experience with a major law firm or corporate legal department, although we are recruiting at all levels.
Chambers & Company is a niche law firm specialising in mining and resources projects in Australia and internationally, with a strong China focus. We also manage the China practice for our US affiliate, Chadbourne & Parke LLP, a leading New York-based law firm with offices around the world.
We are project lawyers. Our roles in the projects begin from being merchant banker, short-listing the best partner for our clients, a corporate advisory role as to planning and strategies, preparing extensive project documentation, strategising and preparing complex project agreements.
With our 23 year history of working with China, we are extensively involved on major China focussed projects for Chinese and other international clients.
Experience in joint venture transactions, mining, energy and infrastructure projects, corporate acquisitions and project financing would be an advantage. For positions in the Beijing office Mandarin language skills are essential.
