Recently our law firm was awarded the 2005 Energy & Resources Deal of the Year award by the Australasian Legal Business Magazine.

This related to our role in advising the four major Chinese steel mills, Wuhan Iron & Steel, Tangshan Iron & Steel, Anshan Iron & Steel and Jiangsu Shagang on their participation in the AUD11.6 billion Wheelarra joint venture with BHP Billiton. We have been nominated for the International Deal of the Year Award in the same category to be awarded in Hong Kong in September.
